Learn to Row at NRC

Attending our 6 week rowing course assumes you'll be become a full and active member of Northampton Rowing Club. We require that you attend our "Come try it" session before signing up for this course. That will give you some idea of what the sport is all about.

Course Content

The aim of the course is to learn the basics of rowing and sculling and includes: -

  • An introduction to the club and the boathouse
  • Rowing technique using the rowing machines
  • Safety and boat handling
  • Outings on the water

If you're interested in attending the rowing course, please register your interest with the Men's Vice-Captain and we'll let you know when the next course will run.

We try to run the courses regularly throughout the year but as we're a volunteer group they are not always available. Priority will be given to those who have been on the waiting list the longest.
