The men's 4- consisting Liam Barford, Adam Boix, Jon Coowar and Nick Woodward took part in their final event before the Henley Royal Regatta qualifiers. The boys rowed really well in the time trial to qualify for the B final. In the final they placed 5/6 but were happy with the row.

Women's Henley Regatta - 22nd-24th June

For the first time in 12 years, NRC had crews entered for Henley Women's Regatta. Two crews travelled to Henley on a glorious day for the time trial with the aim of getting into the main draw. Both crews came incredibly close to qualifying. Lisa Dobson and Jaimie Alford went first in Aspirational doubles. The girl sculled really well and were both happy with how it went, however they missed out on a spot in the draw by 11.5s
The developement 4+ of Jayne Morris, Rachel Coowar, Heather Brown, Amy Walker and cox Niamh Rigby went next and came agonisingly close, missing out on a place in the draw by just 2.9s.
Coach, Chris Radford was immensley proud of both crews.

There was some close racing for the the coxless fours, Liam Barford, Adam Boix, Jon Coowar and Nick Woodward won their heat after a close contest with Bedford with both going through. The tables were turned however in the final when Bedford pipped the boys to the line by just over a second.
In the band 3 women's doubles, Jaimie Alford and Lisa Dobson finished 2nd in their to qualify for the final where they finished 3rd.
Lisa had a similar result in the band 3 singles. She qualified 2nd in her heat and finished 3rd in the final.
There was some close racing for the masters D doubles crew of Ian Townsend and Chris Sentance; They led for most of the straight final, only to be done on the line by Star. The margin of victory being 0.3s.
Giles Mooney had a good first race in masters C singles finishing 4th but far from embarrassing himself.

Thanks to Vicky and Ian for towing and all of the supporters that helped and cheered on the day.

Nottingham City Regatta - 25th May

Preparation for Henley continued for both the men's 4- and women's 4+ with the trip to the National Watersports Centre, Nottingham. The band 4 men's 4- consisting Liam Barford, Adam Boix, Jon Coowar and Nick Woodward scored a fantastic win when they capitalised on a mistake by Norwich in the last 200m.
The women's crew consisting Jayne Morris, Rachel Coowar, Heather Brown, Jaimie Alford and cox Niamh Rigby rowed well finishing a close second in a time of 8:02.

Worcester Regatta - 19th May

Lisa Dobson again flew the NRC flag on her own, this time at the Worcester Regatta. She beat Bedford in the quarter final by 3/4 length before beating hosts, Worcester in the semi by 1 length. This wasn't without controversy though as her opponent lodged a failed appeal over steering. Lisa came up against a very good sculler from Bedford in the final and sadly lost by 3 lengths.

Shrewsbury Regatta - 12th May

Lisa Dobson was the sole entry in the women's singles at the Shrewsbury Regatta. She came up against Minerva Bath in the 2nd heat after having a row over in the 1st heat. Lisa sculled well over the 1000m course but ended up losing by 3½ lengths.

Leicester Regatta - 22nd April

The regatta season kicked off for NRC with the short trip up the M1 to Leicester. Rachel Cator and Frances Allenby made their debut in the women's doubles (B2). They sculled well on the narrow course but lost out to hosts and eventual winners, Leicester. Niamh Rigby doubled up in WJ18 and women's singles (B2). She lost out to Notts County RA in the J18 event but beat Lincoln Rowing Centre to make the final in W1x. Unfortunately she lost out in the final to Leicester.

Thanks to Mark Rigby for towing for towing.

Head of the Trent - 25th February

The women scored a fantastic win at the Nottingham Head of the Trent in the women's coxed fours. The crew consisted of Jayne Morris, Rachel Coowar, Heather Brown, Amy Walker and cox Niamh Rigby. The girls rowed superbly in bright but very cold conditions, to record the fastest time of the day in the W4+ category.

Their coach Chris Radford, was very understandably chuffed to bits with their performance.
